This is a picture of Mello I did because he is such a kickass character. =D I didn't have a reference when I drew this so some things may be a little off. This is also my first time soft shading an anime character. Usually I just cel shade them. XD
I hope everyone likes it!!

For the background I used Death note brushes which I got from Hedemi. Thx so much for these great brushes. :glomp:

This only tells me I need to watch more Death Note...
I have a hard time critiquing fanart of a character I've never seen before. But, all I can say is, lovely colouring. And the background really sets a mood to the character.

Sorry if it's not good enough of a critique/compliment... ._.

Pretty cool. I've never seen the character before, but the hair look kinda' wierd. Hehe, he has 45 chunks of hair. I just had to count.

This was my thought process: "Man, that hair is pretty clumped. I wonder if it would look better as shapes rather than strand-chunks...
Hmm, I wonder just how many chunks there are..."
